About Amy
Hello, I'm Amy — and I'd like to make this feel a little less muddled.
Sometimes life can get a little… much. Therapy can be a good way to explore what's going on underneath and help everything feel more manageable. I'm an accredited UKCP Adult Psychotherapist based in the North-East of England, and all my sessions are held online.

My approach
I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which means I don't hold to one single model. Instead, I draw on several approaches and shape the work around you — because you're not a diagnosis, you're a person with a history, and that deserves a considered response.
I offer both short-term counselling, where we work towards something specific, and long-term depth psychotherapy, where we take time to understand the deeper patterns. Within a safe space, I'll provide a trusting environment for exploration, and you'll always set the pace.
My qualifications mean you receive a high standard of care, but what people tell me matters most is how it feels to sit with me. Taking the first step towards change is hard. I hope my approachability — and yes, my humour — can make that experience a positive one.
Alongside client work, I supervise both qualified and trainee psychotherapists, and I'm currently completing an additional Diploma in Psychosexual & Relationship Psychotherapy at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology.
The relationship comes first
I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of the work. Everything else grows from feeling genuinely met.
Human, not clinical
Therapy doesn't have to be a scary prospect. I bring warmth, honesty and a bit of humour — you don't have to perform being 'a good client'.
A safe, private space
What you bring stays between us. Having somewhere confidential to think out loud is often the first relief people feel.
Not sure yet? That's completely normal.
