UKCP Accredited Adult Psychotherapist
Empowering individuals through professional psychotherapy support — remote sessions online, with Amy Lamb.
No commitment — just a conversation.

"I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the most important part of the work."
About Amy
Sometimes life can get a little… much. I'm Amy, an accredited UKCP Adult Psychotherapist based in the North-East of England, working online with clients wherever they are. Therapy is simply a helpful tool for making sense of what's going on — and for helping everything feel a little less muddled.
I work integratively, offering both short-term counselling and long-term depth psychotherapy. Within a safe space, I'll provide a trusting environment for exploration. I understand that taking the first steps towards change is hard, and I hope my approachability — and my humour — make that experience a positive one.
More about my approachIs this for you?
Almost everyone arrives with some version of these thoughts. None of them are a reason to stay stuck, and none of them will surprise me.

What I offer
Tap “learn more” on anything that feels close to home — there's no need to have it all worked out first.
For the worry that won't switch off, and the tension you carry all day.
For the heaviness, the flatness, and the days that feel like too much.
For experiences that still feel close, even when they're long past.
For the patterns that keep repeating in your closest relationships.
For feeling stuck in the same arguments, or unheard by people you love.
For qualified and trainee therapists wanting reflective, collaborative supervision.
How sessions work
From first message to first session, nothing happens faster than you want it to.

A relaxed, no-obligation chat. You can tell me as much or as little as you like, ask anything, and see how it feels to talk to me.
We'll gently explore what brings you here and what you'd like to be different. No pressure to share more than feels comfortable.
Regular sessions at a time that suits you, short-term or longer-term, reviewed together as we go. You set the pace throughout.
Accredited membership of the UK Council for Psychotherapy means my training, ethics and continuing practice are held to a recognised national standard.
Years of experience with adults across anxiety, depression, trauma and relationships — plus supervising qualified and trainee therapists in their own practice.
What you share stays with me. Notes are brief, anonymised and stored securely. I'd only consider sharing anything where there's a serious risk to life — and I'd talk with you first wherever possible.
If you're using insurance, please email an enquiry first — insured sessions are arranged directly with me, by telephone, email or message.

Client reflections

"I'd put off therapy for years because I thought I'd be judged. From the first call it felt like a conversation, not an assessment. Amy has a way of making the hardest things feel manageable."
"What helped most was that nothing was rushed. We took the time to understand where my patterns came from, and I've stopped repeating the same things in my relationships."
"Warm, honest and occasionally very funny — which was exactly what I needed. I leave sessions feeling lighter and a lot less muddled."
A free discovery call is simply a conversation — a chance to ask questions and see how it feels to talk to me. Nothing is decided on that call.
